Clara states that she has been married 4 years and has had 2 children born, 2 survived. No mention of her son Augustus! Kelty Fife is a mining village in Scotland, William has obviously come back down to Kent to work in the mines around the Dover area.

William's first wife was Mary Gallagher. They married on the 21st October 1895 at The Manse of Beath, Beath, Fife, Scotland. Mary died aged 32 on 26th August 1905 in the district of Buckhaven, Fife.
